1. General Overview

1. Direct Purchases Only: Returns and exchanges apply only to items purchased directly from Oakland Tactical, whether through our physical location or our online store.
2. Timeframe: 
   • Firearms: Return requests for firearms must be initiated within 5 days of delivery to the receiving FFL.
   • Accessories & Non-Serialized Items: Return requests must be initiated within 14 days of receipt for accessories such as magazines, optics, or other gear.
3. Proof of Purchase: You will need to provide a valid receipt, invoice, or order number to process your return or exchange.

2. Firearms Return Criteria

1. Inspection at FFL Transfer: 
   • All firearms purchased online will be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer that you select. Carefully inspect your firearm before finalizing the transfer.
   • If you find any damage, defect, or discrepancy, do not accept the transfer. Immediately notify the FFL dealer and contact our Customer Service. We will provide instructions for return or exchange.
2. Transferred Firearms: 
   • Once you complete the transfer and take possession of the firearm at the FFL, all sales become final.
   • Returned or exchanged firearms can only be accepted if they are determined to be defective and covered under the manufacturer’s warranty or if an error on our part has occurred.
3. Manufacturer Defects: 
   • Manufacturer defects are typically handled through the manufacturer’s warranty. We can assist you in coordinating any warranty service.

3. Accessories & Non-Serialized Items

1. Eligibility: 
   • Items like magazines, optics, holsters, and other gear may be returned or exchanged if they are unopened, unused, and in original packaging.
2. Defective Items: 
   • If you receive a defective accessory, contact us within 5 days of receipt. Once the defect is confirmed, we will process a replacement, exchange, or store credit as appropriate.

4. Ammunition

• No Returns: For safety and regulatory reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges on ammunition unless there was an error on our part (e.g., wrong caliber shipped).
• Verification: All ammunition sales require you to comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including age restrictions.

5. Return Process

1. Authorization Required: 
   • You must contact Oakland Tactical to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number or label before sending any item back.
   • Returns sent without authorization may be refused and returned to the sender.
2. Shipping & Packaging: 
   • Items must be securely packaged to prevent damage.
   • Customers are responsible for shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a manufacturer defect.
3. Refunds & Restocking Fees: 
   • Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will issue a refund to your original payment method or store credit, as applicable.
   • A 10–20% restocking fee may apply to non-defective returns, depending on the item and condition.
   • Allow 7–10 business days from the time we receive the return for the refund to be processed.

6. Special Orders & Customized Items

• No Returns: Special orders, custom-made, or modified items (e.g., custom finishes, engravings, barrel threading) are not eligible for return or exchange, unless there is an error on our part or a manufacturer defect.

   • You must be at least 21 years old to purchase a handgun and at least 18 years old to purchase a long gun, or meet any stricter requirements as mandated by Michigan or federal law.
2. Compliance: 
   • You are solely responsible for complying with all federal, state, and local laws regarding the purchase, transfer, and ownership of firearms.
   • All firearms purchased online must be shipped to a licensed FFL for transfer to the end user.

3. User Accounts

1. Account Creation: 
   • Certain features (e.g., placing online orders) may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information during registration.
2. Account Security: 
   • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and are liable for all activities under your account.
3. Account Termination: 
   • Oakland Tactical reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if there is evidence of fraud, violation of these Terms, or any illegal activities.

4. Prohibited Conduct

1. Illegal Purchases: 
   • Any attempt to engage in straw purchases, falsify transfer paperwork, or provide firearms to prohibited persons is strictly illegal and will result in immediate cancellation and notification to relevant authorities.
2. Disruption of Service: 
   • You agree not to disrupt or interfere with the normal operations of our website or engage in activities that compromise our security or service.

5. Product Information & Pricing

1. Accuracy: 
   • While we strive for accurate product listings and pricing, mistakes can happen. Oakland Tactical reserves the right to correct any errors and to update information without prior notice.
2. Price Changes: 
   • Pricing is subject to change at any time. Changes do not affect orders already confirmed, unless there is an obvious error.

6. Order Acceptance & Cancellation

1. Order Review: 
   • All orders are subject to our review and approval. We may cancel or refuse orders at our discretion, particularly for suspected fraud or legal restrictions.
2. Cancellation by Customer: 
   • You may cancel your order before it ships by contacting us via phone or email. Once an order has shipped or is transferred, our Return & Exchange Policy applies.

7. Shipping & Delivery

1. FFL Transfers: 
   • Firearms purchased online must be delivered to a valid FFL in your state of residence. You are responsible for selecting and providing accurate FFL information at checkout.
2. Shipping Times & Costs: 
   • Shipping estimates are provided at checkout. Delays may occur due to carrier issues, weather, or other unforeseen events.

8. Limitation of Liability

1. Scope: 
   • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oakland Tactical and its employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products or site.
2. No Additional Warranties: 
   • Any warranty on firearms or accessories is provided solely by the manufacturer. We do not provide additional warranties, express or implied.
